Training for Today
The key
to any successful organization is its people. In a recent Fortune article
ranking the best places to work, training time was key element with companies
that toped that list. In order to grow organizations must be willing to invest
in the people who are responsible for it's success. At Parkwood Challenge ropes
course we provide each participating organization with a series of challenging
events that relate to day-to-day challenges with the hope that each member will
depart having gained a greater understanding of themselves, as well as others
around them.
A Partnership for Change
At Parkwood challenge ropes course
we pride ourselves in the relationships that we develop with various teams. Each
organization will work closely with the ropes course staff to identify areas of
focus such as the following;
Problem Solving…communication
skills...
understanding diversity… trust .decision
making… creativity…
peer respect
… teamwork…
Confidence... building morals…
resource management…
conflict resolution…
visualization... and
having fun!
We also understand that different groups require and
request different levels of intensity. At Parkwood we conduct our ropes course
using the following levels:
Level 1 Just For Fun
FOCUS: Fun, Fun and more fun! Groups in this level are
interested in participating in as many events as possible with no real agenda
other that fellowship and personal enjoyment.
Level 2 Discovery
FOCUS: In this level groups are guided through a series of
planned activities and obstacles that highlight a variety of effective skills

critical thinking and a higher level of team commitment.

process what and how we accomplished each event.

I enjoyed watching our group get out of our comfort zone
and learn more about what makes each of us tick! This experience was a valuable
part of our training and lf eel my commitment to the organization has been
renewed.

I had fun! We did things that I did not think we could
do because we worked together instead of arguing!
