Parkwood offers many services to the communities we serve. These services
include:
- Educational In-services – There is no charge for these in-services, which
are conducted by one of our Community Relations Managers, or by our clinical
staff, when available. In 2002 we conducted over 300 such speaking
engagements.
- Mobile Crisis Response Team – When a tragedy or crisis happens at your
place of business, you can call Parkwood Hospital to come and provide
counseling to those effected. Once called, our team has responded to such
incidents as suicide in a police department, school shooting where students
and or teachers were injured or killed, suicide of a student, debriefing of
police officers directly involved in shooting, death of a teacher during the
school year, and blast killing 2 firefighters, to name a few. If you are in
need of this service call Parkwood at 800/477-3422 and ask for the Mobile
Crisis Team Leader.
- Parkwood also participates in various organizations such as The
Mississippi Hospital Association, National Association of Psychiatric Health
Systems, National Rural Marketing Healthcare Society, MS Rural Healthcare
Society, Olive
Branch, MS Rotary Club, Southaven, MS Chamber of Commerce, Olive Branch, MS
Chamber of Commerce, Clarksdale, MS Chamber of Commerce, Desoto Economic
Council, Leadership Desoto, Desoto County Education Day, Mississippi Special
Olympics, National Council on Alcoholism & Drug Dependence of Northeast
Mississippi, Department of Children’s Services, Shelby County, TN Juvenile
System of Care, Shelby County, and TN Just for Kids program.
- In order to better meet the needs of the community, Parkwood Behavioral
Health System has assessment centers located in Southaven, MS, Batesville, MS,
Grenada, MS and Cleveland, MS. In addition we also offer mobile assessment
services in the northeast part of Mississippi. (Please see our Contact Us page

- Parkwood’s Challenge Ropes Course offers organizations the opportunity to
provide a unique training field in such areas as problem solving,
communication skills, understanding diversity, trust, conflict resolution, and
resource management by offering challenging events that relate to day to day
